Case study of drone utilization for internal inspection of cement cyclones | Scaffolding cost reduction

Introduction of drone inspection for the cyclone inside the new suspension preheater! [Tokuyama Corporation]

Tokuyama Corporation, founded in 1918 as a domestic manufacturer of soda ash, is a comprehensive chemical company that produces cement and various chemical products. At the Tokuyama Plant, which manufactures cement, there are three rotary kilns that operate continuously 24 hours a day, where limestone, the raw material for cement, is calcined to produce clinker. In such continuous operation cement plants, each kiln line is stopped once a year to conduct inspections and maintenance of the equipment. The company is experimentally using 'IBIS' for this inspection work. [Case Summary] ■Challenges - Cost of special scaffolding installed on multiple cyclones ■Benefits of Implementation - Ability to visualize on-site conditions and share information about equipment status among all personnel - Transitioning equipment management from TBM (Time-Based Maintenance) to CBM (Condition-Based Maintenance) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case study of using drones for internal inspection of exhaust ducts | Inspection of areas that could not be seen.

Specialized for dark and narrow spaces! Achieving inspections of exhaust ducts that have not been seen before! [Hokuetsu Corporation]

At the Niigata factory of Hokuetsu Corporation, which produces various paper products, the process runs consistently from wood chips to pulp and then to paper products. About 70% of the electricity and steam energy in this factory is obtained by burning black liquor, which is generated during the process of producing pulp from wood chips, in a recovery boiler. Black liquor is a biomass energy derived from wood, contributing to carbon neutrality through thermal recycling, and the Niigata factory produces paper products with 70% CO2 zero energy. The company is experimentally introducing "IBIS" for inspecting the exhaust duct of the recovery boiler. 【Case Overview】 ■ Client: Hokuetsu Corporation ■ Product Introduced: IBIS ■ Challenge: Cost and time constraints of scaffolding installed on the outside of the exhaust duct ■ Implementation Effect: Achieved inspection of the interior of the exhaust duct that had not been possible before *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case study of drone utilization for internal waterway inspections | Confirmation of sludge accumulation and the condition of unknown equipment.

Realizing the measurement of sludge accumulation in waterways inaccessible to humans and the confirmation of the condition of unknown equipment! [Tokyu Construction Co., Ltd.]

Tokyu Construction Co., Ltd. is a general construction company engaged in a wide range of construction and civil engineering projects, including civil infrastructure such as railways, roads, tunnels, and bridges, as well as buildings, housing, and logistics centers. As part of such projects, we are currently working on seismic reinforcement construction for facilities. In this construction, we are utilizing IBIS for the investigation of waterways, including accumulated sludge. In this investigation, we flew the IBIS in a 50-meter-long waterway to capture video, from which we created 3D data. Additionally, this 3D data allows for the measurement of sludge accumulation, and its high accuracy has been well received. [Case Overview] ■ Client: Tokyu Construction Co., Ltd. ■ Product Used: IBIS ■ Challenge: Measuring sludge accumulation and assessing conditions in waterways that are difficult for people to enter ■ Implementation Effect: Created 3D data from drone-captured footage for measurement *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Inspection utilizing the "Trial Order Certification Project" was conducted on the rainwater pipes in Chiba City.

The aim was to conduct a screening survey using the inspection drone "IBIS2" targeting areas that had not been inspected for a long time!

Liberaware Co., Ltd. conducted an inspection survey of rainwater storage facilities (rainwater pipes) on Monday, May 26, 2025, in Chuo Ward, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture. This survey was contracted as a discretionary contract for inspection work under Chiba City's "Trial Order Certification Project" and was carried out in collaboration with the Chiba City Sewage Pipeline Maintenance Cooperative. This initiative was realized following our company's achievement of discovering the driver's seat of a truck using a drone during a road subsidence incident in Yashio City, Saitama Prefecture, which drew interest from the Chiba City Sewage Maintenance Division. *For more details about the news, please refer to the related links.
